Biography:

Darren James, PTA

LOCATION: SPT – KIRKLAND

I’m initially from the Midwest in North Dakota and Minnesota, but I’ve lived in many places throughout my life including Oregon, Seattle, and Cartagena, Spain. I’ve lived in the Seattle area off and on for about 15 years and enjoy not having to dig my car out of 18 inches of snow. I enjoy the green spaces here and running/hiking along with taking in the views. I’m also a big baseball fan with the Los Angeles Dodgers being my favorite since I was very little. I speak English, Spanish and am learning Portuguese. My wife is from Sao Paulo Brasil and we enjoy traveling there and to other places to expand our horizons.

I got into physical therapy after being a patient several times and being able to understand and teach back the techniques and the knowledge behind it. Physical therapy had been an interest of mine for many years and when I returned from Spain, I made the switch. I’ve completed 15 half marathons, many of which I paced, and completed many other 5k and 10k races. I also got certified as a long-distance running coach in 2016. I have a passion for service and helping people be the best version of themselves that they can be. I care about your success.
