Biography:
Karen Lara, PT, DPT, CSCS
LOCATION: SPT-Canyon Park/Bothell
Hi there! I grew up just outside of Washington, D.C. in Northern Virginia. I developed a passion for health and fitness at a young age which inspired me to become a certified personal trainer at just 18yrs old. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from George Mason University, then headed west to Denver, Colorado to complete my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Regis University. I’d describe myself as adventurous, outgoing, and compassionate. I love staying active – whether it’s running, lifting weights, hiking, paddleboarding, snowboarding, rock climbing, or my latest obsession: pickleball. When I’m not moving, you can usually find me exploring local coffee shops or trying new spots to eat. I’m always on the hunt for great recommendations, especially being new to Washington state – so please send them my way! I truly believe that rehab should be personalized, engaging, and FUN. Everyone’s journey is different, and my goal is to understand your unique needs to help you feel strong, confident, and supported every step of the way. I’m thrilled to be part of the SPT team and can’t wait to work with you towards your health and fitness goals!
