Laura McQueen
Exercise Specialist
Biography:
Laura McQueen, MS, CSCS
LOCATION: SPT – Bellevue
I started playing sports as a kid and never stopped. Softball, soccer, skateboarding, snowboarding, cycling, running, lifting, hiking, paddleboarding… if it involves moving, I’ve probably tried it.
I’m originally from Idaho, but have also lived in Alabama, Arizona, California, and now call Washington home (for the past 16 years).
As an adult, I got curious about how to fuel myself best for all of my activities. That curiosity led to a career change and turned into a BS in Exercise Science, a master’s in Sports Nutrition, and a career helping athletes fuel for performance and recovery, by building a better relationship with food, including four years with the Seattle Seawolves Major League Rugby team.
Now, as an exercise specialist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), I get to bring all of that into the clinic. My goal is to help you rebuild the strength, power, and confidence it takes to get back to the sports and activities you love.
When I’m not working or working out, you’ll find me hanging out with my pup and my husband, learning French, attempting to garden, and drinking good coffee around Seattle.
